For more than 10 years, Club Red has provided our members with the tools and resources they need to live a heart-healthy lifestyle. We’ve grown from a community of hundreds of women to more than 7,500 strong. It’s because of this growth that we’re rethinking how best to meet your health and wellness needs.
We know that improving your heart health is a key part of your overall wellness goals. But we also know that you have other health concerns as well. That’s why we’re merging our Club Red program with UVA Healthy Balance, the UVA Health System blog, to bring you an even greater selection of content, including articles, expert Q&As, videos and more. By joining these two sites, we’ll now be able to expand our content selection and email frequency, offering you a one-stop-shop for reliable health information.
On the UVA Healthy Balance blog, you’ll find:
- A variety of articles on disease prevention
- Tips on nutrition and fitness
- Profiles of UVA providers
- Firsthand accounts of illness and survival from UVA patients
- Tips on keeping kids healthy
- Recipes and recipe reviews
Plus! If it’s heart-specific content you’re looking for, that will be easy to find on Healthy Balance. Our Club Red clinical ambassador, UVA cardiologist Brandy Patterson, MD, will be a regular contributor. Just search “heart” for all of the latest posts, plus some of your favorite past articles from Club Red.
The Club Red site and Facebook page will be updated through the end of June, and then we’ll make our move. Starting July 1, you’ll be automatically registered to receive the UVA Healthy Balance newsletter, which will arrive in your email inbox each week. There’s no need to sign up and you can opt out at any time. Unfortunately, our community partners will no longer offer Club Red member discounts after June 30.
