- Cancer: 30th
- Ear, nose & throat: 32nd
- Orthopedics: 33rd
- Urology: 35th
- Diabetes & endocrinology: 44th
- Cardiology & heart surgery: 50th
This UVA recognition follows one in June from U.S. News honoring UVA Children’s Hospital, which has four specialties — cardiology & heart surgery, diabetes & endocrinology, neonatology and orthopedics — ranked in the top 50 nationally in the publication’s 2017-2018 “Best Children’s Hospitals” guide.
